We are now offering free German tutoring for primary school children at the KRASS House in the Eller community center! With this new program, we aim to provide targeted support to children aged 6 to 11 in reading, writing, and understanding the German language.
The free German tutoring takes place every Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Düsseldorf-Eller, Jägerstraße 31. The lessons are designed at primary school level and are currently held as a single learning group.
Language is the key to education and self-confidence. With our free tutoring program, we want to give children the opportunity to improve their German skills, overcome academic obstacles, and enjoy learning more.
It is important to us that each child receives individual support. Therefore, we teach in small groups where questions and learning needs can be addressed specifically. Since places are limited, prior registration is required.
We look forward to welcoming many curious and eager-to-learn children.

Did you know that one of the most successful German authors of recent years couldn't speak German as a child? Saša Stanišić came to Germany from Bosnia in 1992 at the age of 14. He had to find his way in a new environment and learn a completely new language. Saša practiced diligently and discovered the German language step by step. Today, he can write such wonderful stories that he even won the German Book Prize – one of the country's most important awards. His story shows that language is like a superpower. If you learn it and play with it, you can not only explain things, but even invent your own stories and worlds!
