And the best part: all offers can be attended without registration. All KRASS e.V. leisure activities are accessible throughout the year, including during the holidays. Below you will find an overview of all activities that take place at KRASS e.V. at the Bürgerhaus in Düsseldorf-Eller on Jägerstraße 31.
Leisure activities in the field of arts & culture
Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, our children’s studio opens from 4 pm to 6 pm. Here, children paint, craft, and create together with our professional artists. Whether with brushes, colored pencils, felt-tip pens, scissors, or glue: under the guidance of our trained staff, children learn not only how to use painting and crafting tools, but also develop a joy for creative work. And all of this happens without pressure or evaluation. In our open studio, the main focus is for children to discover fun and joy in creativity.
Materials are provided and are free of charge, as is participation itself.
Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 16-18 pm.
Participation is free. Registration is not required. Materials will be provided.
Leisure activities in the field of dance & movement
This recreational program is for children aged 5 and up. The focus is primarily on developing body coordination and the joy of movement. Under the guidance of experienced dancers, the children learn modern dance steps to groovy music and develop collaborative choreographies, contributing their own ideas. While the emphasis is on the fun of dancing, the children also receive valuable feedback and suggestions for improvement.
The dancing takes place in a real dance room with a fully mirrored wall, so that the children can perceive themselves while dancing and coordinate their movements.
Children aged 5 to 8 – Every Thursday from 16-17 pm.
Children aged 9 and over – Every Thursday from 17-18 pm.
Participation is free. Registration is not required.
Leisure activities in the field of theatre
Acting supports children's development by building self-confidence, stimulating creativity, and strengthening social skills. They take on different roles, learn to express their feelings, and understand others' perspectives. At the same time, they develop their imagination, their verbal expression, and their ability to view situations from different angles. The specialists at KRASS e.V. in Düsseldorf guide the children, design costumes and props with them, and work with them to develop the script.
The children don't need to bring anything; everything will be done on site.
Every Monday from 16-18 pm.
Participation is free. Registration is not required.

Why does KRASS e.V. offer free leisure activities for children?
KRASS e.V. offers its creative leisure activities for children – supported by donations – intentionally free of charge in order to make cultural education accessible to everyone, regardless of income or background. All children are encouraged to paint, craft, dance, make music, or perform theatre together. The free leisure activities not only foster children’s creativity and self-confidence, but also strengthen social skills, empathy, and a sense of community. This is made possible through donations, funding, and municipal partnerships, allowing art and culture to be brought directly to children – either at the Bürgerhaus in Düsseldorf-Eller or on the move with the Art Mobile in the districts of Unterrath, Reisholz, Garath, and Hassels.
Visit us – creativity, community, and fun await your child. We'll make sure of it!
