In 2023, KRASS e.V., together with its freelance instructors and volunteers, developed a child protection concept against sexualized violence. This concept was created in a participatory process, actively involving all stakeholders. The aim of this work was to establish clear structures and define binding guidelines for action. In this way, children and young people are to be protected as effectively as possible in all of the organization’s programs.
Do not become a crime scene
KRASS e. V. places great importance on ensuring that all its programs, projects, and events are safe spaces. Boundary violations and abuse have no place in these spaces. KRASS e. V. implements clear rules of conduct and raises awareness among all staff members to protect children from all forms of violence. Through consistent action, the organization prevents situations in which children are endangered or threatened.
Be a safe place for children
For KRASS e. V., safety means more than just protection from physical or sexual violence. It also encompasses emotional and psychological safety. Children and young people should feel accepted, respected, and protected in all of the association's activities. This includes trained contact persons, transparent procedures, and regular training for staff and volunteers.
A place where children can always turn to with confidence.
KRASS e. V. aims to give children and young people the opportunity to turn to trusted individuals within the organization at any time if they have worries, fears, or have observed anything concerning. Openness, empathy, and respectful interaction are central values of the organization's work. KRASS e. V. takes children's concerns seriously and supports them so that they are not left alone with their problems and challenges.
Inform the public proactively and transparently
Child protection is not an internal matter for KRASS e. V., but a central public issue. The organization actively informs the public about its measures, raises awareness of risks, and demonstrates how protective structures are implemented in practice. Through this transparency, KRASS e. V. strengthens the trust of parents, children, and partner organizations and promotes awareness of the importance of child protection in society.
With the development of its child protection concept, KRASS e. V. has sent a clear signal of responsibility. The association emphasized prevention and transparency, demonstrating its strong commitment to child protection.
The Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband (Parity Welfare Association) supported the development of the child protection concept, making it possible. The KRASS e.V. association thanks them for their support, which contributed to the successful implementation of the project.
