We are not a political initiative, but active doers who are fully committed to rolling up our sleeves. Our work takes place directly in the everyday lives of children and young people. • Free art and creative workshops under the professional guidance of trained art instructors and volunteer helpers from our dedicated teams

• Meaningful leisure activities and community – Museum and library visits as well as excursions in the historic city of Trier

We are part of the nationwide network of KRASS e.V. and are committed to promoting the cultural participation of children and young people in Trier. We firmly believe that every child has a right to education and art, regardless of their social background or their parents' financial means. Our goal is to break down social barriers, create opportunities, and sustainably foster the individual talents of young people to empower them for the future. By bringing together children from diverse backgrounds, our daily work fosters a strong community and vibrant social cohesion.

At the heart of our work is a diverse creative program, ranging from art, video, and music workshops to pottery classes and free holiday and leisure activities. In our book club, we foster a love of reading, while we support our participants' academic success with tutoring in math and German. Excursions, exciting museum visits, and guided city tours also offer children new perspectives on their hometown. Through these shared experiences in a safe environment, genuine friendships develop, and every child experiences appreciation and recognition.

To ensure children and young people have unrestricted access to cultural education, participation in all KRASS Trier programs is free of charge. As a non-profit organization, we primarily finance this valuable work through donations, project-related grants, and the dedication of our volunteers. 

We see ourselves as enablers of opportunity, strengthening children's self-confidence through targeted support and giving them important impetus for their future. In this way, we actively contribute to making Trier a more vibrant and equitable city for the next generation. Every child learns with us that their own creativity not only enriches them personally but also strengthens social cohesion. We warmly invite all citizens and supporters to join us in our mission and help us create a bright future for our children.
