We exchange the canvas for the Petri dish and cheerfully conduct our experiments. A thirst for knowledge and a spirit of experimentation are rewarded with exuberant plays of form and color. Hypnotic visual delights can emerge from the simplest of ingredients – it's all about the right combination. We let it bubble, fizz, and hiss. Sculpture or canvas – we will explore three-dimensional sculpture on the flat canvas. What distinguishes a painted sculpture from a painted one? Such questions arose as early as the Renaissance and led to a competition between painting and sculpture that continues to this day.
