Over three days, 20 girls and boys from the KRASS association painted pictures for the foyer of the children's hospital at the University of Düsseldorf. More are planned.
In this article, published on November 26, 2016, the NOZ reports how children, together with the association "Krass eV," beautified the foyer of the university's children's hospital. Over three days, around 20 girls and boys painted colorful pictures, which now hang on the hospital's elevators and are intended to create a friendlier, more child-friendly atmosphere.
The project was initiated and supported by Claudia Seidensticker, the founder of Krass eV. The association's goal is to enable disadvantaged children to participate in cultural activities and to foster their creativity. The director of the children's hospital, Prof. Dr. Ertan Mayatepek, also emphasized how much the colorful artworks brighten the environment for the young patients.
More pictures are planned for the future to make the entire hospital even more welcoming. The article highlights that such projects not only help children develop their artistic skills but also gain joy and self-confidence – especially those who are themselves affected by illness or difficult life circumstances.
