Children were able to give free rein to their creativity. 800 canvases – for a world without hunger and poverty! The NRZ also reported on this on October 25, 2009.
The article describes how 148 children painted 800 canvases at the Rheinbahn depot. With 200 liters of paint, they were able to give free rein to their creativity. The art project was organized by the non-profit organization "Krass," which received a Guinness World Record last year for a similar project.
Intercontinental connection
At the same time, children in Kilolo, Africa, were also painting for a world without hunger and poverty. The project combined artistic expression with social engagement across continents.
Awards and Goals
Claudia Seidensticker, initiator of the project and honorary chairwoman of KRASS e.V., was delighted by the beaming children. The association was chosen as an ambassador for the "Land of Ideas" from among 2000 applicants. "Krass" is committed to combating cultural poverty among children in Germany and promotes sustainable, child-friendly initiatives.
