The non-profit organization KRASS e.V. has opened the Children's Art House in Rath – a place where children can give free rein to their creativity. Painting and creating here serve not only as fun, but also as preventative measures: children learn to implement their own ideas, recognize their abilities and limitations, and strengthen their frustration tolerance.
Every completed picture, every small work of art, provides a sense of accomplishment that boosts self-confidence. Creative activities strengthen children in many ways: they make them self-assured, give them the courage to make their own decisions, and help them to clearly say no to violence or crime. The earlier children have these experiences, the stronger they will be in their personal development.
The Children's Art House is therefore more than a studio – it is a space where art, joy and personality development go hand in hand.
