A project that the kids unanimously described as "totally cool" reached its grand climax: The exhibition of artworks from our "Fit for the Media" program was officially opened at the Benrath secondary school.
Our amazing photographer was inspired by Andy Warhol's iconic "mass-produced images" and showed the students just how much creative power lies within them. Step by step, they learned to create their own art and bring their ideas to life. The young artists proudly presented their colorful works – and were thrilled that they now have a place of honor in their school.

The Rheinische Post reported on the Andy Warhol art project at the Benrath community secondary school, in which eighth-graders discovered and developed astonishing artistic abilities. Under the guidance of photographer Ulrike Reinker, the students first took photos of themselves, digitally altered them, and then transferred them onto canvases in the style of Andy Warhol.
Many of the young people were surprised by their own talent, and the project noticeably boosted their self-confidence. Principal Wolfgang Georg emphasizes that such projects open up new avenues of expression for students – especially those who often don't excel in traditional classroom settings. The Krass Foundation, which made the project possible, promotes cultural education and is active internationally. The resulting artworks will be featured in further exhibitions, and new projects are already in the planning stages.
