Claudia Seidensticker: Social commitment despite disability

Beate Werthschulte's article states that Claudia Seidensticker had to completely rebuild her life after a serious car accident in 2004. Previously, she worked as a visual artist and gave painting classes to children. After the accident, in which she nearly lost her life and has been physically disabled ever since, she decided to remain active for children despite her handicap. In 2008, she founded the association "Krass," which supports children's education through cultural projects.

With the help of a large network and many volunteers, she organizes art projects, raises funds, and enables children to develop their creativity. Around 500 children participate in courses, 150 volunteers help out, and €5000 is raised annually for the projects. Her goal is to give children, regardless of their background, access to art and education. Despite pain and limitations, Seidensticker remains full of energy and zest for life and sees her work as a meaningful endeavor.
