Castle Gala at the Benrath Castle Gymnasium: KRASS says thank you!

Schloss-Gala Düsseldorf Krass Spende

In June, the event “Castle Gala – We celebrate the castle spirit – Honors 2026” took place for the first time in the auditorium of the Benrath Castle High School instead. In a festive setting, special achievements and the commitment of the entire school community were recognized.

Among the guests that evening was KRASS e.V.. We were delighted to receive a donation check for €1.800. This generous support was made possible by the tremendous efforts of the students, parents, teachers, and staff of the Schloss-Gymnasium.

Awards and musical program

In addition to the ceremonial handover of donations to the partner organizations, numerous other awards were the focus of the evening: Students were honored for outstanding achievements in the subjects of mathematics, computer science, biochemistry, geography, German and Art as well as during sporting competitions. Musical accompaniment was provided by the teachers' and students' choir and the school band.

Creative and sporty fundraising

The donation came partly from the sponsored run "The Castle Moves," which took place on the school grounds on October 31, 2025, and partly from the proceeds of the "Dynamic Advent Calendar," an annual event at the Benrath Castle Gymnasium. The Advent calendar doesn't consist of traditional chocolate doors, but rather daily creative prompts and interactive activities. During the sponsored run, students each ran for an hour on a 500-meter course for charity, raising numerous donations. Donate.

The proceeds from the sponsored run were divided equally between school and social causes. Various social organizations benefited from this – including KRASS e.V..
