When was it founded?
We have been a social franchisee since 2010 and operate under the name “KRASS in Athens”, Greece.
Our motivation for founding the company?
Child poverty in Greece is one of the main reasons for our establishment in Athens. According to the report "The Situation of Children in Greece 2013," [...] the number of poor or socially excluded children in Greece amounts to 597.000, with 322.000 living in serious material deprivation. Poorer households are often forced to cut back on their children's needs, severely impacting their education. This is why KRASS e.V. established a branch in Athens. Our target group is primarily children and young people living in precarious situations.
