Maike Beckmann and Sandra Born are responsible for KRASS on site Lüneburg. Joy, motivation, success! These are just three things that children and young people experience with us. We, that is volunteers of all professions, art therapists and qualified artists, theater and dance pedagogues, who have joined forces with heart and mind in Lüneburg.
How and where we work
We create art spaces as a helpful and meaningful medium. We support children and young people in developing self-confidence, learning about their own strengths, recognizing key skills and expressing themselves.
Directly in community accommodations or other places of residence, we visit children and young people with and without refugee experience in the form of an open studio. We conduct excursions on weekends or during vacations to cultural meeting places. We regularly organize special projects with themes from music, theater, dance and visual arts with cooperation partners. For whom we are here
With our integrative work, we want to reach children and young people between the ages of 4 and 18. Above all, KRASS enables children and young people with special needs, e.g. from socially disadvantaged, educationally deprived families, to come into contact with art and culture. We are tolerant of factors such as religion, social origin or nationality. The Bridge of Arts focuses on commonalities and offers a special opportunity for communication.
Current KRASS projects
Weekly programs in refugee shelters in and around Lüneburg. At the open studio, children and young people have the opportunity to freely express themselves creatively. We would also like to involve mothers with children. Always current info on Facebook and Instagram.

Motivation of the “KRASS vor Ort” foundation
“KRASS vor Ort Lüneburg” works with a mobile studio in refugee accommodations artistically with children and young people to offer the children and thus a space for positive experiences and the expression of experiences. In this way, creative skills and social and self-competence can be promoted.
For this purpose, “KRASS vor Ort Lüneburg” has formed a team with artists, pedagogues, interns and volunteers, which is supported by the management and staff of KRASS Düsseldorf.
