Today is IDAHOBIT – International Day against Homo-, Bi- Inter- and Transphobia! In our “anders Projekt” 2020, the topic of discrimination against LGBTQIA people was addressed and artistically implemented by our children and young people. Gender diversity and its free development are close to our hearts at KRASS e.V..
Can you only learn something at school? No, you learn everywhere. In school, but also in many different other places outside of school. Tutoring Kids visited the Rhineside Galery in Krefeld Uerdingen.
(more…)We take children in need out of the margins and give them a chance to express themselves through art and gain a perspective through education. Our “Tutoring Meets Art” program is having an impact. One child talks enthusiastically about his progress: “I got better at multiplication tables and got a C in math! And not a D.”
Sonia Delaunay was not only a painter, but also designed fabrics and clothing from her painted patterns. She and her husband Robert lived in modernist Paris and were artists for whom the interaction of colors and geometric shapes were of great importance. Sonia especially loved the shape of the circle. Our KRASS kids and parents have been wonderfully inspired by her colorful works at today’s KRASS ArtLiveChannel.
In this project, a variety of extracurricular educational measures were bundled, so as to open educationally disadvantaged children in Düsseldorf-Garath between 7 and 12 years access and participation opportunities and to support and promote them in their overall development.
